Genesis 18:17-19 And the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing, since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

[19] For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

The reason why God said that He could not hide anything from Abraham, was because He knew that he would raise children after God’s heart and teach them His ways.

Abraham sold himself to raise a generation after God. Will your children serve the Lord? What does the Lord know about you? Which testimony does God have about you?

May God turn our hearts. We are in a season of recovery and restoration but among the many things we have to get back to, is the place of genuine passion for the Master.

Romans 12:11 Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord. (AMPC)

Jeremiah 20:9 If I say, I will not make mention of [the Lord] or speak any more in His name, in my mind and heart it is as if there were a burning fire shut up in my bones. And I am weary of enduring and holding it in; I cannot [contain it any longer]. (AMPC)

Does this describe you, or you are just being pulled with little or no fire for God? Have you got to that place where you can no longer keep quiet?

To Jeremiah, it was like a burning fire shut up in his bones and this is what the body of Christ has lost. May God deliver us and restore the fervency and passion within us.

My question to you is, What is that thing that has taken your fire? Remember, when your heart begins to burn for God, that career, business, or family will fly because God knows that you will use it to lift Him like it was with Abraham: There will be no limit to your lifting, no witchcraft or sorcery can stop you because heaven is backing on you to spread good news.

2 Corinthians 5:13-15 For if we are beside ourselves, [it is] for God; or if we are of sound mind, [it is] for you.

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

You should no longer live for yourself but for Him who died for you. Each one of us, whether businessman, career man, pastor, minister etc, should stop living for ourselves. We must be sold out for God like mad men and women.

Remember, by the grace of God, we are here to bring back the body of Christ on fire for God, where believers should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them.

Genesis 18:19

What is your heart on fire for? Most people are busy competing with the world, and that is why God can’t trust them with the riches of this world; He knows our hearts; a little promotion or money easily pulls us out of church!

Jesus depended on eleven men to complete His mission of preaching the gospel. These men left their homes, wives, children, and businesses; they stopped living for themselves. What sacrifice are you willing to make? Jesus is calling, “Who will go for us?” Will you answer His call?

Prayer point
Ask the Holy Spirit to set you on fire for Him so that you may constantly burn for Him wherever He has placed you.
