John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
God summarized humanity’s needs in one person: Jesus. Any questions or challenges you may have or are going through have already been covered in the covenant promise that God locked in His Son Jesus. Therefore, to walk into these promises, all we need is light. (2 Corinthians 1:20)
In Genesis 21:16-19, Hagar was crying for what was beside her, however, it was not until the Lord opened her eyes that she saw it. In the same way, we have the answer, Jesus, on the inside of us, yet it is His illumination that brings us to that specific answer.
This was the same experience in 2 Kings 6:15-17 when Elisha’s servant saw the Syrian army and was afraid. It was not until Elisha prayed for illumination that his servant’s eyes were opened, and he realized they were better off than the enemy surrounding them.
Ephesians 5:13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
Anything we have no answer to signifies darkness or ignorance in that area. This is one of the biggest challenges in our walk with God: little or lack of light.
Blindness keeps you in bondage, but light makes you walk out of bondage. I pray light shines forth in whatever area of your life where there is darkness.
John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
We are the light of the world. However, how bright is our light? Your degree of brightness determines how far you can see.
What are those things hindering you from shining brightly to the degree by which you have been lit? Remember, men stumble in darkness, but where there is light, there is no stumbling. This means that those areas in your life where you stumble, fall, or fail are all because there is little illumination or darkness, and the answer to your stumbling is light(Jesus).
Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
The secret to living a victorious life on this earth where our light shines brighter is yielding to the voice and instructions of the Holy Spirit. This is the wisdom of God that makes you rise above the systems and wars that we see around this earth.
In Judges 3, Gideon armed three hundred men with lamps to face an enemy with arrows, bows, and swords. From a human perspective, that may seem like a loss. However, the ways of God are different, and this was one of Israel’s greatest victories.
When God is on your side, it doesn’t matter who is with or against you. The strategy is in His voice, which brings light and illumination and guarantees victory once it is obeyed.
As we pray, let us humble ourselves and ask the Lord to open our eyes and illuminate our understanding. Let His light shine forth in all affairs of our lives.
