As a church, God has given us a mandate to take revival across the nation. This is serious business; the demand that God is going to put on us and the sacrifices that we have to make will be heavy but worth it.

Isaiah 4:4 When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning,

The judgment referred to is not the one that sends a person to hell but one that separates us because we have been sentenced to live a consecrated life.

The Holy Spirit is responsible for setting places on fire. But before He does that, there must be a cleansing because He is Holy, and He demands us to be holy if He is to do something in our lives. 

Luke 1:13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.

Zechariah wouldn’t believe, but God was determined to bring revival into the nation of Israel even though it meant making him dumb. The Holy Spirit is going to move people and things in our lives because His hand is upon us. 

When John the Baptist was born, he went to the wilderness, and the whole city followed him because he brought the move of God to the nation of Israel, and when he finished his assignment, Jesus showed up. 

We have found favour before God as a church to bring revival in this nation; what comes out of us must be Jesus. It is all about Him; no wonder, He told us to make Him famous.

Luke 1:28-35  [28] And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”….. [30] Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. [31] And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS…….
 
[34] Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” [35] And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

The Holy Spirit will come upon us such that what comes out of us is Jesus. This nation doesn’t need anyone else but Him, and we shall lift Him such that He draws men to Himself. 

Mary knew that it was possible, but she didn’t know how it would happen. That which God had tasked her to do wasn’t about a man, but what was going to come out of her was a product of the Holy Spirit.

He is the same Holy Spirit that we have relegated to. Most of us think that speaking in tongues is a sign that we are filled with the Holy Spirit, and yet that is for every believer, as stated in Mark 16:17.

The number one sign that a man/woman is filled with the Holy Spirit is when their life is governed by Him. 

Luke 4:1, 14
Jesus was so filled with the Holy Spirit that He was led by Him to the wilderness, and when He returned, it was in the power of the Holy Spirit with confidence. Jesus brought revival because the Holy Spirit took charge of His life.

One of the things that God has tasked us with is to bring the house of God under the influence of the Holy Spirit, and when He is in place, there will always be a strong presence that comes with conviction. 

We shall not depend on our charisma and eloquence to draw people but on the Holy Spirit, as John 6:44 says, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him….”
