Hosting God is the highest privilege that we have been given and the more we begin to appreciate this truth, the better we shall be able to host Him honourably in our midst and see more glorious manifestations than we have seen before.

The Psalmist was in owe and asked a question;

What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? (Psalm 8:4)

Who are you to host God?

God left His glory and came, not to visit but to indwell you in the person of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

We need to develop a careful lifestyle that is constantly conscious of His presence in and with us. This will guide you on what you ought to do, the places to go to, and the words to speak.

So, how you individually host Him matters a lot because it determines how much He does for and reveals Himself to you; for there is nothing too difficult for Him.

Luke 10:41-42.

There are things God will do for you without you asking; and things He doesn’t do for others because you know how to host Him.

Jesus visited the family of Martha, Mary, and Lazarus the most because they knew how to host Him. When Lazarus died, Jesus raised him up because he had become His friend. (John11:3, 11)

This was the same experience with the Shunammite woman in (2 Kings 4:9-37)

She hosted the man of God honourably by building him a resting room.

Hosting God honourably will cost us certain things such as; Giving Him the utmost honour, and walking blamelessly before Him and our resources. (Romans 13:7 and Genesis 17:1)

Remember, God has given us the mandate to Make Him famous, we must be serious and do everything it takes to Host Him honourably so that every time people meet us they encounter Jesus.
