HIGHLY DEPENDENT ON GOD

May 10, 2023

Every deep encounter with God which always leads to a richer walk and fellowship with God often happens in a place of seclusion.

Hosea 2:14 (AMP) “Therefore, behold, I will allure Israel and bring her into the wilderness, And I will speak tenderly to her [to reconcile her to Me].

Throughout the scriptures, men and women who experienced God and took their fellowship to deeper dimensions were always drawn away into a secret place with God.

Moses became an answer to a generation after a secluded encounter with God. (Exodus 3)

Gideon had his encounter with an angel when he was alone. (Judges 6:11-27)

The Lord Jesus spent nights alone by Himself to have fellowship with the Father. (Luke 22:39-46)

Just as a patient having high level surgery is secluded and taken into a special theatre, the Holy Spirit is drawing us into His high dependency units so that he can operate on us highly spiritual procedures by Himself.

Just as surgery patients are dependent on highly pure oxygen pumped through machines, we too need to be highly dependent on the breath of God to change our world. So we may need to spend some time in highly dependence units where we cannot depend on our own but be highly dependent on the Holy Ghost.

Many of us have planned alternatives but God wants us to arrive to that place where we are His patients and He is our only alternative: Highly dependent on His breath.

Psalms 51:11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

David was a man who was highly dependent on the Holy Spirit.

This is a place where everything about you no longer matters; but the Holy Spirit is in full control (Luke 23:46).

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the [life] which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Where your life is no longer yours, and you cease to live for yourself but are highly dependent on God. That is when the will of God reigns in your life.  Luke 22:42.

These things cannot be manufactured or forced. It only takes the HOLY SPIRIT to carry us there. That’s where God wants us to be.

Acts 4:23-31… So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You [are] God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them…

When the apostles of Jesus were persecuted, they didn’t look for a lawyer but went to a Highly dependent unit and cried out to God.

There are manifestations of God; His anointing, presence and Power that cannot find a flow through us until our dependency levels are only on Him.

1 Samuel 1:11 Then she made a vow and said, “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.”

For the nine months Samuel spent in his mother’s womb and probably for the eight years, though he was given to God, he could not minister before the Lord simply because he was still breastfeeding.

He was still depending on the mother for nourishment which talks of natural dependency. He could not fulfill the call of God on his life because he was not fully dependent on God.

Many of us are serving God but we are still breastfeeding; depending on family: we have not sold ourselves to the Lord a hundred percent where we can no longer breathe on our own but are fully dependent on God.

It is until Samuel was weaned by the mother and brought into the temple that his calling began to be manifest (1 Samuel 1:22, 1 Samuel 2:18, 1 Samuel 3).

There are places in God you will never step into until you are weaned from depending on the natural sources for your living.

Let us cry out to the Holy Spirit to help us and carry us to that place where we are fully dependent on God.
