Luke 5:17 Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

The power of healing was present but none partook of that grace because they were insensitive and non discerning to the moment.

Luke 5:18 Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him.

The paralyzed young man was carried by his friends on their shoulders because they had a drive, hunger, and thirst inside them.

With that weight on their shoulder, they walked for miles and miles looking for Jesus yet there were hundreds and hundreds of men surrounding Jesus so close yet so far from Him.

They could not partake of the grace that was with the Master.

*What could have prevented them from receiving and partaking of this grace that Jesus carried?*

It could be familiarity and religiosity.

He can never be so present and you be so far.

Something must be wrong if you can’t receive your healing in such presence.

Luke 5:19 And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the   housetop and let him down with his bed through the ceiling into the midst before Jesus.

When your heart is set on something, nothing can discourage, stop and hinder you.

If you can give up and walk away or if men can hinder you, then you are not desperate enough.

So many people are around Jesus but are unbroken, with their lives untouched and don’t reflect what they say.

Whatever It is that is standing between you and Jesus, ask the Holy Spirit to bring it down and strip off any hindrances and obstacles preventing you from experiencing Him.

It’s not all about religion, prayer meetings and attending fellowships, but you need to touch, experience, and have a personal encounter with Jesus.

 John 20:15

“Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”

Let Jesus be your only want, and not sermons or men of God.

Don’t allow Him to leave you the same.

Desire Him for a permanent transformation within the inside of you.

The men climbed the roof of the house to see Jesus. The Pharisees and teachers of the law couldn’t stop them.

You have come so far to go back the same way. You must see Jesus.

Luke 5:20, 24-25 When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” 24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he rose before them, took what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

The power that was present to heal the Pharisees and teachers of the law healed him.

There is more than what you have seen, experienced, read, and been told, you ought to hunger and thirst from deep inside you to encounter this Jesus.

May our souls and hearts be desperate to encounter Him.

May the Holy Spirit(the helper) give us genuine hunger and thirst to manifest Christ in us.

Many need to see and touch Jesus but someone needs to stand in the gap.

Are you willing to pay the price?
