EVERY HELP WE NEED HAS BEEN PLACED ON THE INSIDE OF US

Zechariah 4:6 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.

This is a very common scripture in the church that we quote so much as a religious slogan to appear spiritual, but very few live the reality of it. When we come to the integrity of our day-to-day life with the Master, very few of us truly enjoy the help of the Spirit.

According to 2 Peter 1:3, everything we need for us to function effectively and fulfil destiny in life has been put on the inside of us with nothing missing, but it takes the Holy Spirit to pull it into our five senses. An example is the story of creation;

Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

In the physical world, when you looked at Adam, he appeared complete with nothing broken. However, God knew that he needed help, and that help was not outside, but inside him. (Genesis 2:21-23)

Everything you need for life is not on the outside God in His goodness and mercy, the day you gave your life to Jesus, He put it on the inside of you. But unless the Holy Spirit opens your eyes, you won’t know the help of God. (Ephesians 1:17)

It was the Father who pulled out the help that Adam needed from within him. If you do not know how to engage Daddy, you will die with the help on the inside of you because God has never intended man to lean on flesh and blood.

The Holy Spirit is not in classes; the same Holy Spirit that Jesus received is the same Precious Holy Spirit that you and I have been blessed with. The difference is in how each of us relates to Him and how much of Him we think we need.

John 2:1-10

Jesus is always present in our prayer meetings and services, but it depends on how we treat Him. To the people at the wedding in Cana, Jesus was just another guest of honour, but Mary had a relationship with Jesus that none had; that’s why she was able to access the help that nobody would access from Jesus.

Unless you develop that closeness with the Holy Spirit, when times of need come, you will be like ordinary men; you will run to ordinary sources. The reason we have many issues without solutions is that we have a poor relationship with the One Who knows all things, the Holy Spirit.

John 2:3-4 [3] And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” [4] Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”

Who is Jesus to you? Is He just a Saviour like He is to other people, or do you have something inside this Saviour that nobody knows that when everyone has run out of solutions, there is a part of Jesus you will touch and will come out with answers and solutions that nobody can?

There was a need that was not met naturally, but supernaturally, because at that moment, nothing in the realm of man could provide for them. You too can be a Mary in your family, marriage, school, workplace, etc. and intercede for them.

Prayer is not a platform for being spiritual; it’s a way of casting ourselves in the arms of the Lord and saying, ” Lord, we have run out of wine. Don’t look anywhere else, look to the Father. And never forget; not by might, not by power, but by the Spirit.
