Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

No one is disadvantaged in Christ Jesus. The gospel removes everything that would have made you feel out of place. As long as you believe, you will enter into the reality of the gospel of salvation (healing, deliverance, prosperity, etc).

1 Corinthians 1:18 (KJV) For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

The cross speaks differently to each one of us to bring us out of our predicaments but the question is; what are you hearing? It is the voice of the cross that you hear concerning your life that benefits you.

John 19:30

Jesus said, “It is finished”, there is no balance left.

Therefore, when the enemy comes your way, present the receipt of full payment and tell him to release whatever belongs to you. Your receipt is your authority. If the devil refuses to respond to authority, then you introduce power. That is why we were given both power and authority.

Matthew 28:18… “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Jesus gave authority to the disciples before He ascended to heaven and when He reached, He sent them power. (Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8)

You must function in both authority and power.

Luke 10:17-19 [17]Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” (Devils are subject to you in Jesus’ name). [19]Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Your authority is in knowing that the devil is a fallen enemy and he is not that powerful.

Jesus gave you authority over all his powers. This is your receipt over the devil. That is why he should not find expression in your life.

Matthew 11:12 (AMPC) And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize –a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].

You are in the kingdom of heaven in which there is Health, wealth, peace, joy, etc. but for you to walk in them, you must seize them by force because the devil is holding on to them and is not willing to give them to you without a fight.

In Mark 7:27-28, the Canaanite woman seized her daughter’s deliverance by force.  If a gentile got what didn’t belong to her, then what about you who is now a child of God?

The devil doesn’t play fair; he is persistent and will keep trying you as he did to Jesus during the temptation. It is until Jesus got fed up and exercised His authority over him that he left. Matthew 4:1-10

You must get to a point where you are fed up with the enemy and exert both authority and power over him until he lets go.

Remember that you are not fighting for victory but enforcing the victory that Christ Jesus already paid for you.

The devil uses two weapons against Christians to rob them of their victory.

  1. Deception (Revelation 12:9, John 8:44)

Deception means to cause someone to believe something that is not true to gain personal advantage.

The enemy only gets an advantage over you when you believe his lies. A lie is something that is not consistent with the Word of God. That is why confession of the Word is key because it deals with the unseen realities in the spirit realm.

  1. Accusation (Revelation 12:10)

If the devil has anything on you that he can legally accuse you of, he will fight against your victory but if he doesn’t, he cannot.

But blessed be the name of our Lord Jesus Christ who on the cross forgave us all our sins, canceled out all the certificates of his evidence, and accusations and nailed them all at the cross. You must know that you are forgiven and that the devil is defeated and disarmed. Colossians 2:13-15 (AMP)

You have all the receipts of full payment, seize what belongs to you by force in Jesus name.
