The biggest hindrance to the movement of the Holy Spirit in our individual lives, homes, church, and land is not the devil but self-mentality.

Habakkuk 1:5 ” Look among the nations and watch— Be utterly astounded! For [I will] work a work in your days [Which] you would not believe, though it were told [you.]

Some protocols must be observed if we are to see the dimension of God’s presence that we long for we must die to our ambitions, and selfish plans and the I within us must be crucified.

If we want ordinary Christianity, we can go on the way we are, but if we mean business and truly want to host a higher degree of God’s glory and presence, there is a price to pay.

John 3:26 And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified—behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!”

28 You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him. 30 He must increase, but I [must] decrease.

The I/self must decrease and let Jesus increase. When He increases, we will begin to see the greater manifestation of Him in our lives.

We can’t say one thing and act otherwise. You cannot know the resurrection power unless you have known death(crucifixion).

1 Corinthians 15:31 I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Paul said; “our death is not a monthly or yearly thing but it is a daily die to any believer who wants to witness that glorious dimension of God”. It is a total surrender and yieldedness to the Holy Spirit (making God number one).

It doesn’t matter your ordination or title: wife, husband, or businessman, if you want to witness the hand of the Master at a scale you have never seen before, there is a price you have to pay: dying to self.

Never has ever raised a generation that demands its rights like this generation: we have not known brokenness, surrender, and yielding, everybody fights for their rights. No one is willing to back down and say; “Lord, increase that I may decrease”.

2 Corinthians 7:1 [ Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.]

These sins of the spirit are sins that nobody sees or knows them except us and God but they contaminate our spirit. These stand as a roadblock to the working of the Spirit in our lives and the only way to get rid of these is a daily death on the cross.

Some of us nurse and grow them and we wonder why our lives are stagnated. You keep going around the same mountain and the finger of God is pointing to the same thing: get rid of your anger, bitterness, jealousy, competitive spirit, and pride.

We cannot come in the presence of God, pray, fast, and seek Him and we allow these things that contaminate our spirits to exist in us. Let us humble ourselves, bow before the Master and take the cross: tell Him; “Holy Spirit, prune me and cut off every excess in my life” (Mark 10:49-50).

Romans 6:19 I speak in human [terms] because of the weakness of your flesh…

When you realize that you are weak, you invite the Holy Spirit to help you walk away from these things that hinder Him from displaying His wondrous works among us.

There is much more in God than what you have seen and heard but to step in there, you must die to self. You can hold dearly to yourself and stay average or you can say; “Lord, do it, I am willing”.

Luke 22:42-43 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.

Jesus died to self, picked up the cross, and paid the highest price. We have the same choice daily. Sister, brother, mother, or father, you have dwelt on that mountain for so long, how much longer will you allow fresh to control your life and hinder generations from being saved?

It is not by power, not by mighty but yielding to the Holy Spirit. You must die to yourself and let Jesus be who He needs to be in your life, family, etc.
