DOMINION BY LIGHT

Mar 4, 2026

Psalms 82:5 They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are unstable.

The enemy operates in darkness, and that is what he uses to keep people in bondage.

Darkness is his field of operation, and the law that functions there is the law of sin and death. When man fell, darkness came over his understanding and since then darkness has been shed abroad in the minds of people, bringing ignorance concerningthe  spiritual things- plan and purpose of God for each person.

In that darkness, the enemy uses deceit because it is easy to deceive somebody in the dark. But when light comes, deception is exposed, and just like a thief who fears to be noticed, he takes off when light appears.

2 Corinthians 4:4 Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ… should shine on them.

The enemy works to keep people in blindness so that the light of the Gospel does not shine on them.

He fears the Light of the Gospel, for when it shines, it exposes hearts, breaks deception, brings conviction, and empowers a person to believe and boldly receive Jesus as Lord, thus translating us from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of light. (Colossians 1:13) .

Genesis 1:16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night.

Light was created for dominion and rulership. The greater light rules the day, and the lesser light rules the night. In the same way, dominion in the life of a believer comes by light.

When we know the truth, we know how to deal with situations and overcome them. No matter the thickness of the darkness, if you have light, you will rule because the authority we carry is greater than the power of the enemy.

According to Matthew 6:22, the lamp of the body is the eye, which is the eye of the spirit that sees the spiritual things God has ordained for us. When that eye is single—fixed on God, our whole body becomes full of light.

1 John 1:1-5

John said this was the message they heard from Jesus Himself: that God is light. Through the gospel, we are invited into fellowship with the Father and with His Son.

As we remain in that fellowship—seeking Him and drawing near to Him—His light begins to fill our lives. Ignorance is lifted layer by layer, and things become clearer as we walk with Him.

As we continue gazing at Him and studying His Word, our depth of understanding keeps increasing. The Word becomes a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, directing our steps and making the right path clear to us. (Psalms 119:105)

As that light increases, we cease to walk in darkness and begin to walk fully as children of light. Therefore, as children of God, we are required to walk as children of light: looking at the source, Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.
