2 Kings 6:26-27 Then, as the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him, saying, “Help, my lord, O king!” And he said, “If the LORD does not help you, where can I find help for you? From the threshing floor or from the winepress?”

The king recognized that even being a king, you are faced with limitations and handcuffs and that it is only God who helps.

I pray that that will be the attitude of your heart: if God does not help us, no government, no system, nobody, nothing will help us.

Daniel 6:5-6 Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find [it] against him concerning the law of his God.” So these governors and satraps thronged before the king, and said thus to him: “King Darius, live forever!

7 All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions.

These men conspired against Daniel and eventually forced King Darius to sign a decree knowing well it was going to target the life of Daniel.

When Daniel went ahead and couldn’t stop praying, they came to the king and said Daniel has disobeyed you and the king labored to save Daniel but he couldn’t because he had signed a decree (Daniel 6:14).

Whoever you are: preacher man, prophet, pastor, or businessman, no matter how high you fry or how great or bad things are, man is man. You need God.

Daniel 6:19-22 Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”22 My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”

Where men and kings fail, it takes God. This is the place of true praying, brokenness, contrition, and absolute abandonment into the arms of the Lord.

It is the cry of my heart and longing of my soul for you, your family, and this nation that you may have a divine intervention for whatever you are believing God for.
