DISTINGUISHED BY GOD’S PRESENCE

Oct 20, 2025

1 Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is important that we pay more attention to our spiritual lives and give priority to our spirit man because that is where everything begins.

The world’s prosperity is tied to spirituality—but in a negative dimension, and it comes with strings attached. Unfortunately, many in the church have neglected the spiritual realm and are merely playing in the natural realm.

Every one of us existed as a spirit before God gave us a body. It was later that He clothed the spirit with flesh. Therefore, neglecting your spiritual life means giving God nothing to work with—nothing to give body to.

How do you explain what happened in Exodus 17:8-15 when Moses lifted his hands while Joshua fought in the valley and prevailed against the Amalekites? It is because life is spiritual! We must give God something to work with. That is why He gives us His promises and His Word—so that we may take them, declare them in prayer and confession, and when the clouds are full, they will empty themselves upon the earth (Ecclesiastes 11:3).

Another example is that of Elisha and his servant when they were surrounded by a great army. The servant was afraid, but Elisha said, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” (2 Kings 6:16). Though it appeared natural, it was deeply spiritual.

Matthew 13
They all received the same seed, but only one heart yielded a harvest for the sower. Your heart can either qualify or disqualify you. That is why you cannot allow the little foxes to creep into your life—they will hinder you from walking in the promises God has prepared for you.
