Many times, in our lives we yield to diverse desires, appetites, yearnings, and longings that leave us frustrated and disappointed as they impede on our fellowship with the Lord.

Psalm 42:1 “As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.”

Many believers have a relationship but we must move beyond that level and allow ourselves to grow into deeper fellowship with God.

But how far you are going to walk with God in terms of intimacy and fellowship is determined by your obedience to the written code (The Word) and the individual instruction the Holy Spirit gives you. That’s why we cry out to the Lord to open our eyes and ears because this will determine how deep we enter into Him.

Mark 5:37 “And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.”

Revelation 1:1-2 “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,”

It is your personal alignment with the truth of the Word of God that guarantees you walking into deeper levels of authority and wealth in the Spirit (fellowship and intimacy).

Jesus called the twelve disciples, three came in close but John came closer. These levels of relationship were determined by the price each one of them was willing to pay. All men are not the same, the price you’re willing to pay is what determines the level, of communion, and intimacy you can have with the Master.

2 Chronicles 26:16-20 “But when he was strong his heart was lifted up, to his destruction, for he transgressed against the Lord his God by entering the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense…19…And while he was angry with the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead, before the priests in the house of the Lord, beside the incense altar. 20 And Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and there, on his forehead, he was leprous; so they thrust him out of that place. Indeed he also hurried to get out, because the Lord had struck him.”

Access to the Holy of Holies was determined by the degree of your proximity to God (the degree of your fellowship with The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit).

Some of us are in God but in terms of fellowship and communion, we are far. That is why there is darkness in some areas of your life. But the more yielded a man is in the spirit, the more they walk in dominion and victory over the forces of darkness in their life.

John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you.”

Our abiding in God brings us into a relationship and His Word abiding in us is brings us into a fellowship.

The more the Word has authority over your life, decisions, and choices, the deeper the level of fellowship and the greater the level of authority you carry.

1 John 1:3 “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.”

As we seek the Lord, I pray that our seeing and hearing will better our fellowship with God.

May this word drive and guide your seeking as you ask God to take you beyond the outer courts and the Holy place into the Holy of Holies, beyond the usual and the familiar into a deep end of fellowship and experience.
