John 15:2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every [branch] that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
John 15:8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit…
One of the ways our Heavenly Father is glorified is by us bringing forth much fruit, revealing the character of God in our day-to-day living. The greatest challenge in the church is raising people who are committed and sold out to God both in character and power or fruit and gift.
There is so much watered-down gospel that allows believers to live lasciviously without restraint due to a misconception of God’s grace, mercy, and goodness. However, if you truly understand and grasp the price Jesus paid for your redemption, you will offer yourself as a living sacrifice (living a life of self-denial) as the only reasonable sacrifice you will ever give to God. (Romans 12:1, John 3:30)
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Our good works do not qualify us, but the blood of Jesus does. Our good works reveal the God we have received. It is the only way we can tell the story of our salvation to others. (2 Corinthians 3:3)
Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined [to be] conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
The highest pursuit of any believer is to be like Jesus: conforming to His image. We are called to reveal Him to others, just as the Apostles did in Acts 4:13; people could see Jesus in their actions, words, and lives. The question is: are we revealing Him, or have we fallen short of our Father’s expectation?
The greatest fulfillment for any child of God is found in living for the Master, not only in the spirit but in all aspects of life because we were created for Him. Without God, humanity is vanity. (Psalms 139:23-24, 2 Corinthians 5:15)
2 Timothy 2:20-21
What kind of vessel are you in the house of God? When your name is mentioned, do you bring glory and honor to His name or shame? If you examine yourself and cleanse yourself where need be, God will still use you for special purposes.
The time has come for us to bear fruit in our walk of righteousness. It’s not enough to say that we are the righteousness of God; growth is expected of us. But for how long will you remain on milk as babies? (1 Corinthians 3:1-3)
The fruit of righteousness should begin to affect your soul. It is only babies that don’t have control. As a mature believer, you must have control so that you can bear the fruit of righteousness. (1 Corinthians 13:11)
Luke 13:7 Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’
Everyone who plants a fruit tree expects fruits from it; that’s why you must be a profitable servant in this kingdom. You will only be profitable to Jesus by revealing Him when His nature finds expression through you wherever He has placed you.
God is still in the business of seeking men whose hearts beat with His desires and pleasing Him in every aspect of their lives. Hear the call of the Spirit; it’s time to grow up and let men come and feed on the fruits of the Spirit in you.
What draws men to a tree is the fruit, not the leaves. Take your eyes off the Pastor, Apostle, or Prophet, and focus on your life. Imitate them only if they’re imitating Christ, but return to Jesus when they stray, as Paul shows us in 1 Corinthians 11:1 and Ephesians 5:1-2.
The Holy Spirit is calling us to yield to Him more than ever before, to come to this place where people see Jesus in us.
