CONFORMITY TO THE IMAGE OF GOD

Feb 26, 2025

Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of [our] faith …

Jesus is the ideal man and the only standard by which we live and compare ourselves. That is why the Apostle Paul admonished us that it is foolishness to compare ourselves with one another; we only have one standard: “Jesus.”

The ultimate goal of redemption is conformity to Christ’s image. This should be our greatest aspiration and if this is not your quest, you need to revisit your values and intent in this life.

Genesis 1:26-27

Man was created in the image of God, who is Jesus, but the fall caused damage and spiritual death. However, redemption took place through the cross, perfecting our spirits. While our spirits have been perfected, the Holy Spirit still works on our souls and bodies daily.

One of the primary roles of the Holy Spirit is to transform our souls and bodies to align with the perfection achieved in our spirits through rebirth to make us like Jesus. (Hebrews 1:3)

This sanctification process requires our cooperation with the Holy Spirit: total yielding to His pruning, melting, moulding work, and allowing Him to shape us into Christ’s image so that we can reflect Jesus in all aspects of our lives.

Romans 8:28-29 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to [His] purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined [to be] conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

As long as you love the Master, He will work out everything in your life to make you more like Jesus. We are predestined to be conformed to Christ’s image.

Remember, We are ambassadors of Christ, therefore, we are here to represent Heaven and uphold Jesus’ agenda, not our selfish ambitions. So, we must put aside our selfish desires and stand for Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:20)

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The Word of God is the mirror of God; therefore, the more we behold the Word, the more we are changed from glory to glory until we are conformed into the image of His Son. Transformation never ends; every day, the Holy Spirit is working something into your soul so that you can harmonize with the Kingdom mandate.

We are here to reflect the glory of God. I pray you will harken to this call so that when people see your good works, they will glorify our Father in Heaven.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
