Exodus 25:40 “And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.”
When the Lord instructed Moses to build the tabernacle, He told him to follow the exact pattern He had shown him on the mountain.
God gave Moses skilled men like Bezalel, whom He had filled with the Spirit of wisdom, to help with the work, but Moses’ responsibility was to ensure that everything was done according to God’s pattern, without adding or removing anything. (Exodus 35:30-35)
The same was with Noah; God gave him the exact design and instructions for building the ark, and Noah followed them without adding or taking anything away. When he completed it according to God’s pattern, the ark became a means of salvation for him and his family.
God’s desire is that heaven finds expression on the earth through our lives. But we must be humble enough to do it His way.
Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as [it is] in heaven.
When Jesus was teaching His disciples to pray, He taught them to pray that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
God instructed Moses to build on the earth what he had seen in heaven, so that people could experience heaven on earth.
God desires that what is in heaven finds expression on the earth. Not everybody has the opportunity in their lifetime to go to heaven, but God can build something on the earth through His people that allows men to experience His presence while they are still on the earth.
This is the same responsibility that has been given to us as the Body of Christ. God expects us to bring heaven wherever He has planted us. When people encounter us, they should be able to encounter something of God.
2 Corinthians 5:20 “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us.”
We are Christ’s ambassadors, representing a Kingdom that we are coming from—we bring the Kingdom lifestyle and try to colonise the earth with this lifestyle.
We change the culture, the talk, how businesses are done, and how other things are done, because that is what we are supposed to do. We are light in darkness and salt of the earth.
But we need the Master to do this, and it is our fellowship with Him that enables us to bring heaven and have dominion over creation wherever we go, as it was with Adam.
However, when fellowship was broken through the fall, man lost that degree of dominion and authority. Therefore, every attack of Satan against your life is intended to diminish your degree of fellowship with God.
A life of victory is drawn from your fellowship with the Lord. Without fellowship, it is impossible for you to maintain or fulfil divine purpose on the earth.
Your degree of fellowship is also determined by your level of sanctification. The Holy Spirit is in us, and one of His main ministries is to sanctify us—the process of God trying to make you like Himself.
1 Corinthians 6:19 “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you?”
God desires that you become a tabernacle here on the earth so that His glory can inhabit you. So that when men want to see God, they come to you.
That is an awesome responsibility. That is what it means to represent Christ well, individually and as the Body of Christ.
Therefore, there are things that you and I must engage in, not merely as religious practices, but as a lifestyle.
1. The Word
Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.”
The Word must dwell in you richly, not Word-poor. We are products of the Word, and anything of God in you that needs growth must be fed by the Word.
Any area of your life where you see a deficiency, it is not prayer alone but also the Word that grows that area.
So, you must take the Word—meditate, speak, read aloud and do it. Don’t just read the Bible with your mind and eyes but with your voice and speak the Word to yourself. (Joshua 1:8)
Effective speaking doesn’t start by speaking to circumstances. Fill yourself with the Word because the cup cannot overflow until it is full. So, you keep putting the Word in until it is full.
The Word in you will keep your heart because out of it springs the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23)
God’s Word is the law in the spiritual world that is used to fight spiritual battles. The spiritual world is governed by legalities, not feelings. When Satan came to Jesus, He responded with the Word, “It is written.”
May the Lord give us a hunger, thirst, and a fresh desire to study, read, meditate and be doers of the Word.
2. Living a Sacred Life
There is no such thing as a secular life and a sacred life for a believer. There is nothing about a believer that is secular. Your job, business etc is not secular; the day you gave your life to Christ, everything about you became sacred.
So, as we prepare for what God is about to do this season, we must have certain things set in order. It is not good that our desire for revivals comes and goes.
If they come and go, then it is that men forget to engage in the protocols that keep or enable that dimension of the intensity of His presence to increase.
We often get too excited, and the enemy causes us to lose track. That is why many revivals are short-lived. But what God is about to do with us, it will happen until Jesus comes.
Therefore, we must learn to sustain the move of God, follow the heavenly pattern, maintain fellowship with God, allow the Holy Spirit to sanctify us, and become people who are full of the Word.
May we not only experience the move of God, but also have the capacity to steward it and pass it on to the next generation.
STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVOURED, WE LOVE YOU.
PASTOR BEN OCHOLA.
