All the people had given up on this man but Jesus crossed over to the other side of the lake just to deliver this one man.

Mark 5:1-5 [1] Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. [2] And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, [3] who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, [4] because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. [5] And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.

Though this man was tormented by the demons, when he saw Jesus, he ran to worship Him because there were times he would come to his senses.

Mark 5:6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.

Despite being tormented by the demons, there was something inside him that resisted the state he was in. He knew he needed help and Jesus heard his cry for deliverance.

If you can still rebel against the devil, then you cannot end up in shame.

Mark 5:7-15 [7] And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.” [8] For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” [9] Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” [10] Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country. [11] Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. [12] So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” [13] And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea. [14] So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened. [15] Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

People were afraid because of what Jesus had done; the demon-possessed man who had been all by himself was delivered because of the mercies of God. (Mark 5:18-19).

Your case is not hopeless because God’s compassion is on your side and the same Jesus that delivered the demon-possessed man can help you too. (Hebrews 13:8).

Refuse to be ordinary, rebel if what is happening in your life is not consistent with the word of God.

Exodus 14:21 [21]Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and THE WATERS WERE DIVIDED.

What was between you and your prosperity, health, career, etcetera has split. Nothing can hold you back because Jesus said at the cross that, “It is finished!” (John 19:30).

The cross can not and will never fail. You will walk into your God-ordained purpose because the cross has already prevailed.

Ruth 2:10-12 [10] So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner? [11]And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. [12]The Lord repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.”

Moses had made a declaration in Deuteronomy 23:3 that no Moabite would enter the assembly of God (Israel).  Ruth, however, was so determined that even after Moses’ declaration, God blessed her in Israel because of her willpower.

You will fulfil destiny and all that God ordained for you because He has had compassion on you.
