CAN GOD TRUST YOU WITH WEALTH

Oct 8, 2024

Galatians 3:13‐14
Jesus became a curse on the cross, so that the blessing of Abraham may come to us the Gentiles. This blessing is ministered to us through the Holy Spirit, the custodian of divine wealth.

This blessing is in a Spirit form. However, you can download it into the earthly realm and, it becomes material. The challenge is that many have failed this test of wealth. (Ephesians 1:3)

Hebrews 11:9-10 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as [in] a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God.

As wealthy as Abraham was according to Genesis 12:1-3, he never built a house because he was looking for something that man cannot give. He refused to be moved by his wealth and dwelt in the tents, to model the pattern of people who walk by Faith. (Isaiah 51:2)

Abraham is a perfect example of those who know this world is not their home.

Philippians 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Regardless of the earthly wealth we attain, we need to remain steadfast in God because our citizenship is not of the earth. We are from above, earthly possessions such as gold and silver should not take our hearts.

Before heaven can entrust you and me with wealth, we must be delivered like father Abraham. God has no problem with you having wealth but the biggest challenge of wealth in the hands of believers, is that it causes many of them to compromise their lifestyles and abandon their journey of faith. (Mark 10:23)

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all [kinds of] evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

God has given us the wealth of Abraham, yet the reason why many of us have not manifested it is that we cannot handle wealth. Many lose faith in God and begin to put their trust in substance.

A good example of the statement above is the children of Israel; whenever they were in lack, had afflictions or challenges, they sought God. However, when God would deliver them and start to multiply their resources, they would turn to idol worship. The church today is not any different from the Israelites, money has substituted our desire to pray and seek God wholeheartedly.

In Matthew 4:9,
The first thing satan sold to Jesus after the bread was the wealth of the world; ‘he said all this I will give you if you worship me’.

This is what is happening today, millions have sold their souls for wealth: people have sacrificed their dignity, children, wives and husbands for it. The devil has studied man and he knows that wealth is man’s biggest weakness.

Mark 10:17-22
This young man missed out on being an apostle of Jesus because of his wealth. How many have forfeited their destiny because of wealth? How many husbands have turned away from their wives when they got wealthy?

I pray that the Holy Spirit will free our hearts from the love of money and install in us the kind of heart our Father Abraham had. He used his wealth to propagate God’s love to men.

God’s message is obvious; We are about to cross over to abundance. As we believe God for the abundance and overflow, let us ask Him to fill our hearts with the fear of God, so that wealth does not become a curse in our lives.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
