CALVARY—OUR RECEIPT OF REDEMPTION

Apr 23, 2025

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace,…

The boldness and courage we have today in our walk with God are because of the sacrifice He made for us at Calvary, and because Jesus has passed on to the Heavens, and now, He is before our Father, ever making intercessions for us.

Hebrews 12:22-24

We have come to Mount Zion: among the many things, there is Jesus, who is the mediator of the new covenant and the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things. This is the ground of our boldness.

It is most important that you and I agree with the testimony of the blood because on the cross, Jesus said it is finished. He paid the price, and we have before us the receipt for our redemption: The Cross of Jesus.

When you put a demand on the cross, it’s a demand of what is yours. So, in this season, you need to put your faith in the finished work of the cross: present your receipt and demand your healing, prosperity, salvation, deliverance, and any other things that agree with the finished work of the cross.

Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians couldn’t let them go; they still pursued them. This is what the enemy will always try to do: he will continue pursuing you, bringing symptoms and reminders of his work.

But as a child of God, you should know what you have and what to do; you have the receipt with which you have to demand what is yours, and you have to resist the devil until he flees. We are no longer fighting for victory but from victory: hold on to the confession of your faith. (Romans 6:14)

Colossians 2:14 Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross. AMPC

When Jesus came, He took away every legality and claim and nailed it on the cross: satisfying the demand of God’s justice. Now, the devil has no legal rights to afflict any child of God who understands what Jesus did for them on the cross.

The cross of Jesus is the greatest legal argument you can ever present before the Judge for your liberty, and the devil has no answer.

John 19:30 ..He said, “It is finished!”…

The challenge is that some of us are not stubborn enough to resist until the devil flees. As we seek God, develop a backbone of steel, plant your feet in the Word of God, and tell Lucifer and his relatives that He is either a loser or a loser until you walk in the reality of your victory.

Do not be afraid because you have the authority and backing of heaven. However, it takes violence to take what is yours. This has nothing to do with feelings, but what Jesus did on the cross: the ground we place a demand on.

As we continue to seek the Lord in this season where the dayspring from on high has visited us, let’s place a demand: don’t listen to the voice of the accuser or flesh, but the voice that comes from Calvary.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.

PASTOR BEN OCHOLA.
