The first qualification of coming to God is making up your mind that ‘He Is.’ The catchword here is Diligence.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who DILIGENTLY seek Him.

A diligent seeker knows that; God is all He/she has in life and he/she doesn’t have to be reminded of something because it has become second nature: on good or bad days, in the valley or mountain, in floods or fire, in pain or celebration, etc.

Genesis 3:1-5 …And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” …4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Every enemy’s attack against your life is aimed at severing your fellowship with God.

That’s why you need to furnish yourself with an understanding of the virtues of God (His goodness, love, mighty, faithfulness, etc.) because if you don’t know then how do you worship? That’s why Jesus challenge the lady at the well that they knew not whom they worshipped. (John 4:22)

Daniel 3:17-18 … “No, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. 18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

It is always easy to fall away when hard times come, but when you know the God you worship, come rain or sunshine, you remain steady in Him.

The three Hebrew boys came to the knowledge that God is God all by Himself. That knowledge carried them through all the trials and temptations You too must have that knowing.

Sometimes we fall under the hardships of trials because we lack the “Knowing.” It is the Knowing that strengthens and causes you to stand (*Hosea 4:6a) *.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (NLT) Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

We live in a world governed by forces of wickedness with a system that fights God and His children. So don’t be surprised by the happenings around you for God has given us the winning ticket: Knowing Him .” Throughout the scriptures, it’s the people who knew God that rose above their circumstances.

Prerequisite for Being Seekers

  1. Believe that He Is: God is more than able, believe all that He is. (Exodus 3:14)

That faith in “I am” is what will make you stand steady when everything is falling apart.

  1. Being always at it: this is being diligent. However, many of us are driven by circumstances. But our seeking of God should be driven by our knowledge of Him; living from inside-out and not by our senses/facts.

The journey we’ve enrolled in is one of faith, not facts, we are driven by truth. (Hebrews 11:16)

Let everything else fall apart but not your faith (Luke 22:31-32).

It is your faith that makes you remain connected to God. Jesus walked into His own town and couldn’t perform many miracles because of their unbelief. (Matthew 13:58)

Luke 18:1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart

What makes men give up is when their expectations are cut short or seem not to manifest because we allow facts and not truth to drive us. If you’ve made up your mind to be a child of God, you allow to be controlled by the word, both the written and spoken.

Faith is the product of the revealed word in your spirit.

Will you diligently seek God and stay in that place? Make seeking Him your lifestyle irrespective of the circumstances in and around your life.
