No one desires us to live the best lives like God does but there are things that He has put in place for us to be able to walk into that place of success effortlessly.

God left heaven to reside in us in the person of the Holy Spirit and He desires that we create a comfortable environment to host Him that He may do what He wants to do in our lives because the Christian life and journey is based on His working in us; how much of the new life can find manifestation in us (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

The literal interpretation of the above scripture is that those who wait upon the Lord will exchange their weaknesses for God’s strength but that can only be possible by yielding to the Holy Spirit. A life of surrender and yielding to the Holy Spirit means acknowledging that you are weak and need help.

Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

Jesus said;

Acts 1:4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;

Jesus knew that the assignment He had given the disciples would take the Holy Spirit to fulfil it. It is impossible to live the Christian life without the help of the Holy Spirit for He is key to living a successful life but that can only be possible by yielding to Him.

Zechariah 4:6

There is a dimension or level we can never go beyond unless we depend on the Spirit to take us there.

The Spirit of all spirits lives inside us but the biggest challenge is that we are not broken enough to allow God to leak (find expression) through us. We must decrease that Jesus may increase through us. (John 3:30).

Proverbs 3:4-6 [4] And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. [5] Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; [6] In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

We can not lean on our understanding because what we know and understand is insufficient. The greatest help that has been given to us is in the person of the Holy Spirit and He can only direct our paths when we trust and acknowledge Him in all our ways.

Acknowledging God means permitting Him to take the lead which brings us to the place of brokenness and obedience to the Holy Spirit.

1 Samuel 1
It took Hannah ten years to get a child because she was not broken enough. It wasn’t until she got broken that she poured out her soul and cried to God to the extent that Eli asked her whether she was drunk.

We must do away with religion and familiarity and ask the Holy Spirit to help us to arrive at that place of brokenness if we want to access His help. (Psalms 51:17)

God spoke to us that there will be manifestations of the words that He spoke to us but it will take a broken heart to walk into that reality. May God take us to that place where we are totally dependent on Him.
