So Jacob came to a certain place and stayed there all night… He took one of the stones and put it at his head, and he lay down to sleep. Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven, and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold, the Lord stood above it: …Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” …Then he took the stone, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on it…and made a vow, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going,.. so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God…, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.”….Gen 28:10-22

Jacob didn’t know that he had spent the night at the very place his father had built an altar.

Altars keep the heavens open over your life. You may not know but at an altar, there’s always divine traffic, with angels taking your requests, needs, and petitions and delivering solutions and answers to you!.

We serve a prayer-answering God!.

O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come…Psalm 65:2

At the place of the altar, we dictate our days, destinies, and how we want to live. Lives are altered at the place of the altar!.

It’s on the altar that we partner with God, the creator of the entire universe, and align our lives to divine plans and purposes.
We invite Him through prayer to come and do whatever seems impossible to us!.

For we are God’s fellow workers; … 1 Cor 3:9

That’s why Satan fights altars because he knows that when we stand and persist, there will be an alignment in our entire lives.

As Jesus prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering…Luke 9:29

At the altar, power from heaven transfigures whatever is not in alignment with the divine purpose upon our lives!.

When the ark of the covenant of the Lord came into the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly that the earth shook. When the Philistines heard the noise, they said, “What does this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews mean?” Then they understood that the ark of the Lord had come into the camp. So the Philistines were afraid, for they said, “God has come into the camp!”, “Woe to us!….1 Sam 4:5-7

At the altar, we invite God onto the scene. When He comes into our camp, Satan flees!.

With an altar in your life, your story will definetly change!.

I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope…Jeremiah 29:11

If it’s not good, it’s not of God. God comes to make things good in our lives!.

An altar is a place of exchange. We give God our failures, and He gives us His success, we exchange our weakness for His strength, our awkwardness for His glory, and Our folly, and stupidly for His wisdom!.

It’s at the altar that we expose our nakedness so that He dresses us up. We are not there to show Him how strong or good we are, but to exchange our bad for His good!.

We exchange poverty for riches, sickness for health, excellence for mediocrity, and peace for confusion!.

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint…Isaiah 40:31

At the altar, the angels ascend and descend, taking away our sickness, failure, poverty, and bringing down whatever God ordained for our lives!.

And Jacob was left alone, and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day…Gen 32:24

Jacob ( meaning trickster) had inherited telling of lies from his fathers. It had followed them through their lineage but he had made up his mind that he was tired of it that night. His name had to be changed!.

Today is your day. Whatever has perpetuated itself in your life, be it sickness, poverty, marital delay, barrenness, it’s ending today!. God is going to cut it off your life in Jesus’ mighty name and your name is going to be changed!.

Allow God to touch you. You don’t need to feel it, but believe He is touching you where it matters!.

As you pray at your altar today, angelic activity is being activated and results are forthcoming!.

“It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear…Isaiah 65:24
