ACCURATE LABOUR

Dec 9, 2024

Luke 5:1-11

Simon Peter had gone to the lake to fish; he never knew that he would be intercepted for that which He was called to do.

As we trust God for revival in our nation, people who think that were called to be ‘fishermen’ will be intercepted because there is a burden in the heart of God. And as the window of revival begins to grow, there will be pressure on us to release the Word of God which is people’s priority.

John 1:35-37 Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

John was willing to follow Jesus; that is why he pointed Him to his disciples.

In John 1:41, Simon’s brother who was John’s disciple told his brother how he had found the Messiah and when that happened, Simon followed Jesus without hesitation because he saw something about him, having been with the Messiah.

Mark 3:13
Accurate labour begins with staying with the Master and there are times we walk with Jesus not because it is sweet but because we love Him.

Are you willing to follow and walk with Jesus? Is He still seated in your boat? Jesus being in the boat represents a means of livelihood.

Boat doesn’t mean the end in itself but a means to an end. However, we must give Jesus the opportunity and labour to see Him seated in what we do.

The potency of our lives is found in our walk with Jesus. Therefore, to labour accurately is to stay with and please the Master such that He reveals to us the superior knowledge that we require to function. Remember, as believers, we live by patterns that are revealed to us.

John 4:31-34 In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”

[33] Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?” [34] Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

Jesus’ disciples had brought him the physical food but unfortunately, His need at that moment had changed.

Our labour reveals our hunger and accurate labours will always begin with a personal walk with God and end in convictions. Are we labouring with Jesus or are we following Him to fulfill our own desires?

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
