Ephesians 2:12-13 [12] that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. [13]But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Father, it is a privilege to be called Your sons. We are no longer slaves, outsiders or strangers because of mercy. We now have a God, and we are members of the commonwealth of Israel.
Thank You for the crucified Christ: for the cross, for the shed blood and the nail-pierced hands. Where would we be without Your grace and the finished work of the cross?
On that cross, You parted the sea of sin that once separated us from You and brought us from darkness to life. Through the blood of Jesus, we cross over into healing, liberty, love, restoration and resurrection.
John 19:30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Jesus, thank You for satisfying the demand of justice. On the cross, You broke the shackles of sin, absorbed the wrath of God, and nailed every evidence the devil had against us. Through the cross, Jesus made a public spectacle when He paraded the demons of Lucifer in hell in a triumphant possession.
Since You died for us, we live for You; the life we have and every second of our breath is for Your honour and glory. As MJF, we will serve You for the rest of our lives.
There is nothing we can give You for what You have done for us except to give ourselves unto You. We pledge ourselves to serve You with our bodies, lives, substance, and all that we are.
Lord, we come in humility, brokenness, and contrition of spirit. We receive grace that enables us to do that which we have pledged ourselves to do, for it is You who works in us both to will and to do. (Philippians 2:13)
Zechariah 4:6 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.
Father, we do not take pride in our strength, for we know that it is not by power, not by might, but by Your Spirit. Therefore, we lay every natural ability at Your feet and embrace the ability of the Holy Spirit.
We receive the grace that enables us to serve You with gladness of heart, walk the path You have ordained for us, and live a life that brings honour and glory to Your Name.
We receive grace for deeper intimacy with You—the intimacy that brings about a complete transformation in our lives until we are conformed to the image of Your Son.
As the prodigal son, our place will be at Your feet forever. We will stay at Your feet no matter how high, how famous, how influential or how blessed we will be.
You spoke in Your word in the letter of John, “My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1John 2:1)
Jesus, You are our Advocate. Forgive us where we have not lived up to Your expectations: when our anger took over, when we despised, judged or criticised others, when pride arose in our hearts, and when we failed to do what You required of us. Father, we cry out for mercy. Forgive each one of us and cleanse us.
We will not forget where You have picked us from. We are grateful for the grace and mercy You give us daily to sustain us. Thank You for the help; we are a people and a church helped by You. You are the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens every day to come to our help.
Like Moses said, “How will the nations know that we are a peculiar people unless Your presence goes with us?” Father, we are safe, rested, contented and satisfied in Your presence.
Help us develop the sensitivity to forsake places, people and things that corrupt or contaminate Your presence because we do not want to grieve the Precious Holy Spirit.
Father, You knew us before we were formed in our mother’s wombs, called us and set us apart. Even now, we choose to align ourselves by prayer. We say yes to Your call and yield to the help of Your Holy Spirit, that He may work through us. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED. WE LOVE YOU.
PASTOR BEN OCHOLA.
