Genesis 28:11-16, 11 So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.
12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder [was] set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know [it.]”
Many believers can receive spiritual experiences yet remain ignorant of God’s presence in a place. This was Jacob’s case, we can be unaware of God’s presence in a place.
That’s why I request you to be sensitive to the Spirit in this season so that you sync with the shift that is happening: do not remain casual and ordinary.
Matthew 23:37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under [her] wings, but you were not willing!
There is no worse state for a person to be in than when God comes close and they remain unaware. This is why Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Many of the things we go through and suffer are not because of a powerful devil outside, but because we are obsessed with worldly things and insensitive to God’s seasons.
The worst thing that can happen to you is to miss the moment God designed for your transformation, shift, or change because this earth operates on divine seasons and cycles.
Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
The Lord has put into the earth system cycles and these cycles will determine the rise and fall of men both spiritually and physically. Pay attention to the moving of Spirit because change is around the corner, these are not ordinary seasons
God has what we call a set time. It doesn’t matter how many years you fast or how many hours you pray but if you lose track of the time, you will pay a price for it. (Psalms 102:12-13)
Mark 10:46-47
When Bartimaeus came to realize that it was Jesus leaving the city, he threw every caution out of him, and he raised his voice and cried out, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me’.
These are not ordinary seasons. There is a wind that is blowing, and those who are sensitive to the Holy Spirit have begun to lock in through humility, brokenness, and contrition of spirit, leaving a repentant life and asking the Holy Spirit to open their ears and eyes to be able to capture what the Lord is doing in this season.
Genesis 8:20
When Noah came out of the ark, all he could see was devastation and destruction. The best way he responded to what he saw was to raise an altar, and God spoke. Men and women who understand the times now won’t raise an ordinary altar but a special altar.
May God have mercy on us so that we do not miss what the Lord has begun to do. I beg you, sisters and brothers, for once, stop being ordinary, let go of all the argumentative spirit and humble yourself, and tell the Holy Spirit, ‘Make me what You want me to be’.
