A LIFE OF OBEDIENCE

Aug 19, 2024

What enables us to walk into new beginnings is our obedience both to the written Word of God and the speakings of the voice of Spirit. This can only be possible with the help of the Holy Spirit who releases the fruit of love in our hearts, making it quite easy and acceptable to the Father.

Deuteronomy 28:1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you DILIGENTLY OBEY the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.

“Diligently” means staying at it: doing it unto the Lord. If we want to go higher, we must be diligent in our obedience looking unto God who sets us apart and promotes us to new levels whether in business, career, etc.

The following are some of the ways through which we can exercise obedience;

As servants, by being obedient to our masters even when it doesn’t work or make sense and doing whatever our hands find to do diligently as unto the Lord and not men. Ephesians 6:5-8

As leaders, watching over the people that we are ruling over. Hebrews 13:17

As bosses, paying the wages of our employees. James 5:4

As tax payers, paying all our dues. Romans 13:7-8

Why obedience?

Obedience provides cover and security. Remember, it is God who promotes us. Therefore, forgetting the process through which we attained promotion exposes us to the enemy because life is guaranteed only on the parameters of the Word.

If God tells us what to do and we stick to it, then we’ll have security. His Word never falls to the ground; the moment we obey His instructions, we shall see results as long as we stay at His Word. Isaiah 55:11 and Psalms 138:2

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

The enemy knows it well that God honours His Word; that is why he is called the accuser of the brethren.

In Genesis, when Adam was told not to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and he was told that he would die if he did it. When he ate, he entered the realm of death but God could not reverse anything; the price had to be paid at that time and God Himself came and paid the price and the devil will have nothing against you.

Outside the boundary of the written Word of God exposes you to the serpent; you may escape for the first time but you won’t escape forever because the devil is always on a run looking for whom to devour.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
