2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of [those] whose heart [is] loyal to Him…

How seriously do you take God’s word and instructions? The Lord is calling us out of our comfort to a deeper daily walk of obedience.

Everything you’re looking for is with God and it can only be availed when you walk in obedience to His Word and instructions. (Mathew 6:33) It is in this place that scriptures become a reality in our lives. Any spiritual activity outside obedience will not yield the God kind of results.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

There are things the Lord will allow us to go through to test our obedience: God would have removed the valley of the shadow of death that was before David but He allowed Him to go through it to test his obedience. (Psalms 23:4)

Galatians 6:17 (AMPC) From now on let no person trouble me [by making it necessary for me to vindicate my apostolic authority and the divine truth of my Gospel], for I bear on my body the [brand] marks of the Lord Jesus [the wounds, scars, and other outward evidence of persecutions–these testify to His ownership of me]!

If we confess that we belong to God, we must obey His Word and instructions until we bear the brand marks of Jesus Christ upon our lives just as Apostle Paul did. But how many of us are willing to bear scars for Jesus’ sake?

Job 1:8-10 Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that [there is] none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” So Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

Alignment is what protects us because a believer’s security is in the place of alignment with God’s word and instructions. It was Job’s walking in alignment with God that protected him; all his blessings were a result of his obedience to the Lord.

When things go wrong in this world, it is your obedience to the Lord that excludes you from the rest. Most times obedience is hard but as we yield our will, God takes over our weaknesses and gives us His strength. (Isaiah 1:19)

Luke 22:40-43 When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.

Jesus needed divine enablement for Him to be able to walk through what he was going to go through on the Cross.

It’s not until you start to hear, obey, and walk with God that your Christian experience will have a distinction. Ask God to grant you the grace to obey so that you may be able to walk in alignment with His word and instructions.
