Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?
If we are going to do the things God has called us to do, we have to find and adhere to His ways because He will never lower His standards for any generation.
We must labour to find these patterns and walk by them just like David, Moses, Noah and other patriarchs of faith did. They were given the plans of the architecture of what they built, and so we cannot do otherwise; we must see right into heaven, copy the pattern, and bring it here. This can only come by the fear of God; if we order our lives and agree to His ways.
The majority of the children of Israel who left Egypt with the promise of the Father to enter the promised land ended up perishing in the wilderness because they did not follow the patterns of God.
1 Peter 1:16, 1 John 4:16
Our shine, glory, blessedness, wholeness, satisfaction, and fulfilment can only be found in our adherence to what God has prescribed for each one of us like love and holiness. God made these prescriptions for us to be in sync with Him thus we must intentionally work on ourselves to be holy and full of His love.
John 17:26 and I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them [overwhelming their heart], and I [may be] in them.” (AMP)
We must place a demand on God’s holiness and love by allowing His love to find expression through our lives.
According to John 3:16, God does because He loves, so if we are to work with Him, our doings must come from the place of love. That’s why we need to check ourselves and ask the Lord to let His love that He has shed upon our hearts begin to permeate every part of our hearts. Our ability to do this doesn’t come from our willpower but from God which calls for our obedience. 2 Corinthians 3:5
If you want to walk in the promises of God, pray John 17:26 every day over your life. When your heart is overwhelmed with God’s love, there is no instruction you will not obey. Our obedience must be rooted in love.
There are different dimensions of love, but for every new revelation of God’s Name, there is a fresh impartation of His love that you should encounter. That encounter must leave you loving God more than ever before.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty. (NLT)
Solomon tried everything, and he came back to the Lord, pointing us to the conclusion that fulfilment is only found in following God’s patterns. We need to fear God, that’s what it means to love Him Job 1:8.
Things born out of love are the best. Let your spiritual activities be birthed from the place of love.
