A CALL TO DISCERN THE SEASON

Mar 13, 2026

We are living in significant times in the purposes of God; these days are not ordinary: the Spirit of God is moving, and things are accelerating in the realm of the Spirit.

One of the greatest dangers in such seasons is spiritual insensitivity: when people fail to discern the moment they are living in, hence misaligning with God’s timing through their responses. They remain still when it is time to move, become distracted when it is time to pray, and grow indifferent when it is time to seek God, and as a result, life becomes harder than it should be.

Throughout Scripture, those who walked closely with God were sensitive to His timing. So, the question remains—how do we remain sensitive to the seasons of God?

1. Having reverence for God

Reverence is the awareness that God is present, shaping how we approach and worship Him, and conduct ourselves in His house.

Isaiah 66:2 … But on this [one] will I look: On [him who is] poor and of a contrite spirit, And who TREMBLES AT MY WORD.

The true evidence of reverencing God is seen in how we treat (honour and respect) His presence and His Word. The Word of God becomes the final authority in any person’s life who genuinely fears and honours God.

Reverence also includes honouring the grace of God on other people—not based on titles, wealth, or status, but because they are created by God. When we recognise the grace that God has placed on others, we position ourselves to receive from them.

Failure to reverence God makes us spiritually insensitive, but when reverence is present, the Holy Spirit can guide us clearly through the seasons of our lives.

2. Hunger and Thirst for God

Matthew 5:6 Blessed [are] those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

Our hunger for God must grow stronger every day. If our hunger becomes weak, then our spiritual sensitivity becomes weak.

The more time we spend with God, the more He deposits in us and awakens a deeper hunger to seek Him. Spending time with God is not limited to being in one place; we can spend time with Him while walking, driving, or sitting quietly. What matters is the connection of our hearts.

In this age of technology and endless distractions, the enemy knows that if he cannot stop you, he will try to distract you. However, when your hunger for God is strong, distractions lose their power. A hungry person is always alert to what God is doing in every season.

3. Humility

Humility means having a heart that recognises its dependence on God. God is not impressed by buildings, achievements, or outward appearance; all He is looking for is a humble and contrite heart.

A humble person understands that everything they have comes from God. Because of that, they remain teachable and open before Him. Humility also means honouring others. The Bible teaches us to honour all people—not selectively, but across the board. Respect that is given only to certain people is not true respect; true humility respects everyone.

When reverence, hunger for God, and humility are present in a believer’s life, the heart becomes sensitive to God’s voice, and such a person can discern when God is moving and align with His timing. In this hour of divine acceleration, it is only those who remain spiritually sensitive who will be able to walk in the fullness of what God has prepared for them.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED. WE LOVE YOU.
