John 13:3,6-10
Peter said, “Lord, are You washing my feet?” Jesus answered “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after.” Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!” Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.”

We are already clean by our virtual being in Christ but there are desires and ambitions in our souls that may not be in alignment with God’s will for our lives.

Such thoughts neither glorify nor honor the Master. That’s why we need cleansing, purification, and consecration.

My strength is made perfect in weakness. … 2 Corinthians 12:9

Perfection of Jesus’ strength can only happen to those who admit weaknesses and invite Him to help them.

The heart knows its bitterness, … Proverbs 14:10

You have to be truthful about what your struggles are. The only man who can be helped is that one who admits his failures. You need to invite Him to wash your feet!.

At the wedding at Cana, though Jesus was invited, He did nothing until He was asked for help!.

It was until they admitted their bankruptcy, failure, and shortcomings and turned to Jesus that He performed a miracle.

What a wretched man I am! who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! Romans 7:24-25

There is deliverance in Jesus. He can set us free from the little things in our lives.

Catch us the foxes, The little foxes that spoil the vines, For our vines have tender grapes…Song of Solomon 2:15

These little foxes hinder the full manifestation of God’s blessings in our lives but there is always hope and room for transformation!.

For by one offering He has perfected forever those who ARE BEING sanctified. .. Hebrews 10:14

The process of consecration (sanctification) never stops till we are raptured and metamorphosis occurs daily from one degree of glory to another until we fit in the image of the one who called us. (The exact representation of God on this earth).

If there are things in your life that you know and are not yet right (foxes), call upon the Helper (The Holy Spirit). Don’t allow the enemy to drive you down the guilt trip.

Am weak today, though anointed king…..2 Samuel 3:39

No matter how anointed and gifted you are, you must know what your weaknesses are. Don’t allow pride to overshadow you and make you fail to deal with the little foxes. Whenever God reveals something to you, deal with it. It implies it is your time for transformation.

Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, Hebrews 12:1

Recognize the things that trip you off and cause you to fall then ask the Holy Spirit to help you deal with them.

How have the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!… 2Samuel 1:27

You must be conscious and understand that even the mighty fall!

Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves…. 2 Corinthians 13:5

Examination is not for accusation. It is for self-check to ensure you’re still on course!.

Sometimes the storms of life hit us hard and try to take us off course. That’s when we go for course correction. We break before the Lord and seek forgiveness. A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise. …Psalms 51:17.

Matthew 14:25-28
Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him

Peter did not intend to fear but the waves and storms caused him to! Sometimes life pushes you so hard that the faith you thought you had disappears.

Peter called unto Jesus for help and he came to his rescue. That’s what we need to do…Call on Him. Don’t be discouraged by apparent failure, Call on Jesus!!

Now the Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul,….. 1 Samuel 16:1

You can not change the past but you can change the future.

“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. … Isaiah 43:18

Do not hold onto the past. Holding onto the past prevents God from working in you something better. Accept His plan for your life and call on Jesus to help you carry through!!
