A CALL TO A PLACE OF SWEET SURRENDER

Jun 5, 2025

Psalm 42:1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.

What is your heart thirsty for? What is your soul longing, yearning, and crying for? Are you craving the lower things of this life and earth, or are you after human affection?

As for David, whom God testifies as a man after His own heart, he could cry, “My soul thirsts for You, O God.” That means his mind, will, and body all came together, longing to experience God more and more beyond words, scriptures, sermons, and preaching. He knew there was more in God than what he had seen and experienced. (Psalms 42:2-3)

As we journey with God, we ought to always sustain a posture of gratitude for what He has done for us. But know that there is always more in Him, and the best we can do is always lift our hands and yield to the Lord to carry us right there.

The time for sweet surrender is now; yield yourselves to the Lord.

Psalm 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.

David fed on His tears day and night, he used to go with the multitude to the house of the Lord, yet his soul was downcast. (Psalm 42:5)

You can continue to pretend and play with religion, or you can choose to say, ‘This is not it, there is more in God, and He must break through my wall and take me to a higher place that is in Him.’

I don’t know about you, but the things I see and hear cause me to put a demand on God. Remember, God is rich unto all who call on Him; we all have equal access to His presence, but there has got to be perseverance for us to get to the next level.

Jeremiah 29:13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

If you have not yet found the Lord, this simply means there is something wrong with your heart. The Lord must help us because the moment we seek Him with all of our hearts, He will reveal Himself to us.

I pray the Holy Spirit will continue to stir up our hearts. Don’t settle where you are, God has got better, greater, and deeper experiences He wants to have with you. Cry to Him, He is a faithful God and He answers prayers.

May the Lord fill your heart with such thirst, hunger, and desire to know Him that the only thing that will remain on the inside of you will be the desire for the Living God alone, just like David. Amen

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
