A CALL TO A PLACE OF ENCOUNTER

Nov 7, 2023

I pray that the Holy Spirit will help each one of us to yield to His call and take advantage of His grace made available to us to seek His face more than ever before.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

Throughout the scripture, we read about the experiences that men had with God and they wrote it down. A man like Moses; had such a deep encounter with God that He took him at the beginning of time and he wrote the whole of Genesis and yet he wasn’t there.

The Bible is littered with many more stories of men who encountered God and we read their stories not only for our inspiration but for us to enter into the real experience of our own. Every verse we read in the scriptures is a door into a world of experience with God.

Romans 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

God is rich unto all who call on Him. This means that the honor is on me and you to do the calling. God is more than willing to give us fresh, deep, and meaningful experiences with Him that will leave us relevant to our generation. (Psalms 50:5-6)

John 3:12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

Let us look at the level of advancement in technology, science, and medicine, man has advanced so much and the world is being threatened by artificial intelligence yet the church is still stuck with the old experiences of yesterday.

We must rise to this challenge. We need great experiences with our God that will enable us to stand and silence what we see today. It is a matter of urgency that our seeking ceases to be for mere bread, butter, and clothing but to reveal Jesus to this generation. That is why Daniel says;

Daniel 11:32… but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out [great exploits.]

The only way we will be able to challenge the knowledge that we see today is by knowing the God that we believe in. This knowing is not mental but experiential. God must draw us into that place where we experience the very presence of Himself.

If you and I can get to that place, then we will be able to hold a conversation that will silence the so-called wise of this world.

Acts 6:4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

We will not change this generation or arrest its attention until we shift. That is why the Lord is calling us. It is never by mighty nor by power but it will take me and you encountering God at a depth we have never had before and it is that encounter that will draw the world to the cross.

Read Exodus 34

This brings me back to the encounter with Moses. There are some Israelites who would encounter God at the base of the mountain, they saw Him from afar, could hear His voice and the mountain shook but remained down. There were the elders and Aaron who were somewhere on the mountain and there was Moses who journeyed further and was caught up in God.

He was so wrapped up in God that even when he came down, he did not know that his skin had absorbed the glory of the Lord.

I am not saying we pray to God to make our skins shine because that may not work for us but there is that which heaven has reserved for a generation in this age and that is what we are crying to God to do with us such that when we stand in our schools, universities, workplaces, crusades, etc, people will experience Jesus. (Acts 17:6)

Psalms 126:1 When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream.

Nobody could deny that, it was the finger of the Lord upon their lives. Have we arrived at that place where nations testify of us and bear witness of us? If they haven’t, then we are not yet there. Remember we are light and salt, if we cannot bring a difference where we are and our light cannot touch men, then it is not bright enough. Let us align ourselves and draw Him in prayer and seeking.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
