Consecration is when we give up ourselves into the arms of the Lord: yielding and surrendering our all so that heaven can find free expression through our lives.

The greatest battle that every believer has with the Spirit of God is yielding their will to the will of the Father yet it’s the key to victorious living and fulfilling your purpose in life.

It is easy to surrender: to let go of simple things, many can do that but a time comes when it is tough; even Jesus was confronted with the same challenge but He was willing to yield His will.

Luke 1:38 Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

Virgin Mary being betrothed to Joseph was willing to put aside her wedding plans to host God and be a vessel for a Savior to be born.

Have you arrived at that place in your life where God can tell you to stop and you obey? If your heart has not arrived there, that’s where the Lord is calling us to a life of yieldedness to His ways and will.

Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You [are] with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Can you follow God’s leading through the valley of the shadow of death or you can only follow Him when He leads you to lie down in green pastures and beside the still waters? It’s on the way to the shadow of death where our test of submission and yieldedness to God comes in.

Can you give God what He is asking you or you can only give Him as far as it is convenient for you?

If God still reasons with you to surrender something, it means you are not yet fully yielded to Him, you are still in charge (not a Steward).

John 1:21-23 And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?” He said: “I [am] [‘ The voice of one ca the wilderness:] [” Make straight the way of the LORD,”‘] as the prophet Isaiah said.”

John the Baptist refused every good name they tried to call him. He stayed true to his calling even when it cost him his head.

If it is to cost you joy, life, peace, etc, will you do so? These dimensions sound hard but when you are willing, the Helper will help you.

The next move of God is not for the half-baked men: you are either a hundred percent in or out.

Psalms 95:8 “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As [in] the day of trial in the wilderness,

For forty years, the children of Israel were seeing the glory of God day and night but they perished in the wilderness in the face of the Lord because their hearts were hardened and they never entered the place they were delivered to enter because of a lack of yieldedness.

You can still miss God when His presence is available. God deals with us according to the condition of our hearts.

As the Holy Spirit is calling us, take inventory of yourself and look into your heart. Remember the more time you spend with Him, there is purging that goes on.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

When the veils are taken off, you begin to see and it’s what you see that transforms you. The closer you are, the better you are transformed.
